From May 20th to May 23th 2009, the annual International Club of Notes Convention took place at the isle of Malta. The theme stated "When the going gets tough ... This statement of Patrick Joseph Kennedy (1888-1968, father of JF Kennedy) added ".. the tough get going" Guest speakers from Kodak, Polar and keynote speaker Frédérique Paumier Moch inspired over 75 delegates from all over the world. Much attention was paid to exchanging product ideas and knowledge between the various nationalities amongst printers. Sharing innovations and trends were of great value.

For Van den Ende - The Notepad Factory, the Malta conference had a festive touch. In the five award categories, the Notepad Factory was rewarded in two catagories! The 'Most Innovative Product Award 2009 "for the calculator notebook and the award for Outstanding Commitment for the long and passionate commitment of Robert van den Ende, president of the Club of Notes and managing director of Van den Ende - The Notepad Factory.
